Andes Hotel: Prom Night –

      Last Saturday night, students of Andes Central School filled the Green Room of the Andes Hotel for an evening that balanced elegance and joy. A beautifully prepared dinner set the stage before the floor opened to dancing late into the night.

     Marking the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s timeless prom anthem “Dancing Queen,” the room came alive as students sang every word in unison, a moment of shared celebration that carried across the hall.

      An observer from the adjoining dining room remarked, “These are the most well-behaved kids,” a simple comment that spoke volumes about the strong sense of family and community in the northwestern Catskills.

Credit is due to the Andes Hotel for helping create a memorable and meaningful experience for the youth of Andes, one that will linger long after the music fades.
